The Young Militant End-time Army: The Make-up Of The Army

THE YOUNG MILITANT END-TIME ARMY: THE MAKE-UP OF THE ARMY (Judg. 7:1-8)

God’s programmes and projects are always timely, and specific. He designs, makes the specification and executes to His own taste. The project, the instruments and the strategy are all designed by Him to satisfy His taste. The building of the ark by Noah for the deliverance of the obedient, the building of the ark of testimony by Moses to bear the testimony and God’s presence, and the raising of the Gideon-led force of Israel were all drawn/designed, planned, equipped and even executed by the Lord (Gen. 6:13-16; Ex. 25:1-22; Judg. 7:1-8). He also goes on to specify the composition of the materials involved (human and physical) (Gen. 6:14-16; Judg. 7:5,6). The Lord’s project for this hour – the end-time project among youths and the entire world is that of saving these young ones, equip them with all necessary tools and with them form a force that will contend and contain the surging waves of evils, immorality, bondages, etc against other young people within and without the Church who have become prey and victims of so called civilization/modernization and translate them into the kingdom of God. The composition of such a force/squad being raised to day is what we are discussing under this topic: THE YOUNG MILITANT END-TIME ARMY: THEIR MAKE-UP.

It is combination of young and militant people who are conscious of the time in which they have found themselves (the tail end of the end-time) and are therefore equipped for it. Here we will just consider these two qualities and in other teachings consider the things needed for effective operations.

The Quality of Being Young

Often times, youths are regarded as unserious minded people but here we will see how the Lord makes His own youths different. On taking the first step of volunteering as a soldier of Christ through surrendering to the Lord and receiving His Spirit (Rom. 8:9,10), that youth begins an apprenticeship service unto God. The period of apprenticeship is that time of being taught, instructed, corrected, rebuked, and equipped for a great future. Apprenticeship involves young people (cons. 2kgs. 3:11; 4:12). For the urgent task of resisting the surging waves of the devil against the children of God, the last minute revival and preparation of the saints for the rapture within the short time of less than 2½ minutes to the midnight mark, the Lord is doing a quick recruitment into His end-time army for immediate action. His target is the young people. Why? They are flexible, available, focussed (undistracted), teachable, and the Lord wants to use them to stun the world and Satan and obtain sole glory for Himself (cons. 1Cor. 1:27-29). They are people who are valiant and can count their lives as nothing for the Lord’s sake (cons. Dan. 3:13-18; 2Sam. 23:14-16).

Any youth who professes to be a Christian youth and in fact a Watchman Christian youth and is desirous of being a member of the end-time army must be characterized with the above characteristics of the kind of youths the Lord is seeking for. This is part of the composition or make-up of the army.

It then means that all self-will, busy bodying, unteachableness, weakness, pride, self-glorying as an apprentice of the Lord must be surrendered. The Lord is the sole Captain and sole general of this squad, and reserves the right to set His condition for service into the force, just like He did with the Gideon-led army (Judg. 7:4-7). Today, it is the Watchman-led army and the Lord has given His qualities for membership into the force. No Christian youth who has seen the surging wickedness of the devil against the youths and in particular the Christian youths of this end-time that would desire to remain as an ordinary Christian and not be determined to fight to liberate the Christian from this gang up of the enemy and take advantage of this opportunity to get prepared and others for the kingdom. The fight must be fought and won. This is the reason the army being talked about must be MILITANT.

The Quality of Being Militant

Ordinarily, militant sometimes can refer to any individual engaged in warfare, a fight, combat or generally serving as a soldier (one enlisted into a nation’s armed forces and trained to defend her interest). He is enlisted and trained for service in a particular cause and not self seeking or living for his own private interest. It involves aggressiveness and violence. Bringing it home to us, militant in our context does not refer to physical warfare, fight or combat, neither physical aggressiveness nor violence seeing our contention is not with human beings but with the originator of all evils, oppression and sin – the devil himself (Eph. 6:12; 2Cor. 10:3). Yet the warfare is much more fierce, involving more violence and for a more definite and urgent cause. Jesus describes it as violent involving only the violent if it must be won (Matt. 11:12). The army’s spiritual valiance, violence and aggressiveness identify and mark them out among others, hence the tag on God’s purpose in this programme, raising the YOUNG MILITANT END-TIME ARMY for the last minute revival and pre-rapture programme. The fact that the army, though consisting of young people (who may be tender physically), is expected to be militant should not appear ironical because this is the demand of the Lord. It must be militant because:

? this is the end-time when God and Satan are all in a terrible rush to capture, hold and retain their captives (cons. Is. 14:12,16,17; Jn. 10:28,29). Only the militant can cause the gates of hell and the everlasting doors to lift up their heads and open their prison doors to free the prey of the terrible and the captives of the mighty within it.

? It takes a stronger man to break into the house of a strong man (Lk. 11:21-22). It must be clear that the enemy is quite strong. If the bulwark of errors must be pulled down, the surge of oppression, immorality, and all manner of ungodliness resisted against youths and the enemy held hostage then the army for this end-time battle must be militant in all areas.

? Only militant youths like the Jehu of Jezebel’s day, filled with fire in their eyes and blood can demonstrate their zeal for their God and lift up the banner of righteousness (2Kgs. 10:13-17). The task of pulling down Jezebel’s tower of worldliness and nakedness among youths is the work of the militant (cons. 2Kgs. 9?:30-37). They do not yield to Jezebel’s seduction. For them no compromise, and no retreat. All spiritual falsehood and deceits must be wiped out and truth installed and that by the end-time army (cons. Ezk. 22:25-28; Jer. 1:17-19; Acts 13:6-12).

The revival and preparation of the Church for the rapture is a project that must be approached as a selfless cause with urgency and aggressiveness within a less than 2½ minutes to midnight (Eph. 5:16; cons. 1Cor. 7:29-31; Rom. 13:11-12).

The end-time army the Lord is raising from this day must indeed be of the above composition. The make-up must be young and militant.

As a Watchman youth desiring to pursue the cause of your Master, Jesus, you must examine yourself and discover if you have the characteristics/qualified discussed. You can take steps into getting them and demonstrate your righteous zeal for your Lord like Jehu, and like Gideon bring down all Midianites contending against the eternal well-being of youths of your generations.
