When we considered the make-up of this army that the Lord is raising at the end-time among youths, we saw that they consist of young and militant people with the various characteristics that qualify them into the squad. We saw that it is an army pursing a definite and selfless cause. This brings us to go into more details of what the vision and mission of this God arranged and ordained army is. We will begin by looking at the meaning of the terms “vision” and “mission” and then discuss what the young militant end-time army is out for.
Explanation of ‘vision’ and ‘mission’
We want to see vision as it relates to our theme as having an appropriate cause or purpose taking up the mind. We have seen from the teachings we have already had that the young militant soldier pursues a particular cause or objective selflessly. The vision is such that must consume them. Jesus had a vision of saving the world, reconciling sinners back to God. When there is a vision, all other things in life must all work towards achieving that vision. This vision sparks off a mission, a performance of that objective, cause or purpose. It is a propeller. Jesus’ mission on earth was that of dying on the cross for the sinner thereby fulfilling his vision of saving them (cons. Heb. 10:4-17; Matt. 1:21).
